Melon Mousse for Valentine’s Day
Smooth, fresh, and naturally sweet. A light dessert perfect for sharing with someone special.
Ingredients (4 Servings)
2 cups ripe melon, cubed
½ cup cold heavy whipping cream
¼ cup powdered sugar or honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin (optional, for a firmer texture)
For Garnish:
Thin slices of melon
Small heart-shaped cutter
Mint leaves (optional)
Instructions:
Blend the melon until you obtain a smooth purée.
Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
Mix the melon purée with the sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla.
Gently fold in the whipped cream.
For a firmer mousse, bloom the unflavored gelatin in a little water, dissolve it gently with heat, and add it to the mixture.
Spoon into individual glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Cut thin melon slices and use a heart-shaped cutter to decorate before serving.
